  • At the end of the course, participants were expected to: 1. Distinguish between different types of epidemiological study designs; 2. Select appropriate epidemiological study designs to address specific research questions; 3. Understand the strengths and weaknesses of different epidemiological study designs; 4. Understand relevant summary measures relating exposures to disease risk; 5. Understand appropriate statistical methods for testing hypotheses; 6. Perform simple statistical analyses; 7. Interpret the results of simple statistical analyses and define terms used in them; 8. Present effectively results from a dataset by making appropriate displays, summaries, and tables of data
  • This Course will introduce you to Audio and Video Podcasting.
  • Computer Basics provides an overview of basic and necessary computing skills. An emphasis is placed on computer literacy in easy and understandable terms.

As it is already assumed that participants can handle a computer with some level of dexterity, this module goes straight to test quizzes with little or no resources to read.
  • Moodle is the name of a program that allows the classroom to extend onto the web. This program allows a common place for students to go for many classroom resources. Using Moodle, you can post news items, assign and collect assignments, post electronic journals and resources, and more.

This Course will attempt to familiarize you with how to use moodle to create courseware and manage it as Teachers, Trainers and Administrator
  • This course will introduce the students to our electronic training system called Moodle. Moodle is a course management system (CMS) - a software package designed to help educators create quality online courses and manage learner outcomes. Such e-learning systems are sometimes also called Learning Management Systems (LMS), Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) and Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS). Students need only a browser (e.g., IE, Firefox, Safari) to participate in a Moodle course.
