The Information Technology (IT) unit of IHVN is responsible for aligning IT with the organizational strategic goals. The unit is positioned to enhance the activities of the various departments and meet their ICT needs with cutting edge digital office and networking equipment. It utilizes state-of-the-art video conferencing, file /data servers, internet protocol telephony systems and a host of business data management and processing applications interconnected for efficient service delivery

The IT unit has seasoned and competent IT professionals that provide first-level end-user technical support to enable staff perform their tasks with ease and to manage the activities of service providers.

Core areas:

  • Systems management - Coordinating and supporting the design, implementation, operation, documentation and training procedures for all purchased and / or developed information systems.
  • Network and systems security – Appropriately configuring and maintaining information security infrastructure for internal and external systems.
  • Systems, equipment, and managed services procurement – Assuring procurement efficiency and effectiveness of all information systems and equipment.
  • General direction and support – Overseeing the streamlined technical operation and support of all departments and ensure it aligns with the business objectives of IHVN.
  • Training of users –Training of staff is one of the unit's core functions.
