The IHVN Research Department took off May 2008 and is still largely under development. Objectives of the department include provision of enabling research environment that assures Ethical and Scientific Research, Training and Capacity Building and Mentoring

Mission Statement

The objective of the Research Department, Institute of Human Virology is to provide a flexible and expandable platform for the conduct of health research of the highest ethical and scientific quality in Nigeria. This will be achieved through strong program management and administration, logistic support, staff training and re-training, highly motivated and committed staff who appreciate every aspect of the research enterprise.
