H3Africa Bio-repository

The IHVN central bio-repository in Abuja has recently been awarded an NIH funded Human Heredity and Health in Africa (H3Africa) bio-repositories grant (Principal Investigator: Dr. Alash'le Abimiku) to upgrade its infrastructure and functions to international standard to support H3Africa investigators in Africa. The bio-repository will support multiple H3Africa investigators to conduct high quality genomics and translational research in Africa using well processed, preserved and quality controlled and protected human biological samples accessible to the H3Africa and larger research community to address health issues and diseases affecting the African continent.
