The USAID/Nigeria Tuberculosis Local Organization Network (TB-LON) project seeks to rapidly find and treat people infected with tuberculosis.
As one of the organizations implementing this five-year project, IHVN is to scale up tuberculosis services and find missing TB cases. We are also to engage stakeholders in strengthening a resilient system for sustainable TB control in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Osun states.
Some objectives of the project include,
Improving access to high-quality, person-centered treatment for tuberculosis, drug-resistant tuberculosis and TB/HIV.
Strengthening systems and structures for tuberculosis detection, treatment and notification.
Reducing transmission and progression of tuberculosis
Accelerating tuberculosis research and innovation to improve the quality of programs implemented.
The project is to adopt a differentiated model approach to reach people with TB in communities.
