About Violence Prevention Activities

Our program provides violence prevention services in the communities and facilities. We also support the provision of survivor centered post violence care services to survivors. These services include;

  • Psychosocial counselling
  • HIV testing
  • Provision of timely HIV Post Exposure Prophylaxis for survivors of rape.
  • Treatment of injuries
  • Screening and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • Emergency contraceptive through referral.
  • Referral for non-clinical services.
  • Key services for survivors of gender-based violence. These services are termed, “minimum package.

Our program coverage spans across all the facilities in the four supported states; FCT, Katsina, Nasarawa and Rivers states.  Each health facility has a designated focal person who works with other staff in provision of services to survivors.
