Dr. Daniel Olugbenga Kayode coordinates the Institute’s efforts in providing comprehensive treatment and care for tuberculosis/drug-resistant tuberculosis and HIV in the region.
He ensures a good relationship with management and staff of health facilities, state government officials, partners and stakeholders to ensure quality care for patients. Developing work plans, supervising its implementation and reviewing program achievements also falls under his purview as the Ag. Regional Manager. Dr. Kayode facilitates collaboration and team work among regional staff and implementing facility staff to achieve set targets.
Dr. Kayode is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan College of Medicine, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. He has a Master’s in Public Health from Texila American University and is currently studying for another postgraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
He has 15 years working experience in community medicine and public health. Prior to assuming the responsibilities of Director Technical Program USAID TB LON3 Project. Dr. Kayode was a Ag. Regional Manager, South-West Region, Regional Medical Officer in the Institute. He has also worked in University College Hospital Ibadan and Hospital Management Board, Kano. He has attended several trainings, is interested in HIV and hepatitis research and enjoys reading, listening to music & watching movies.
