About The Financial Services Unit

The Financial Services Unit operates a system for recording all receipts and payments in accordance with the organization’s standard operating procedures. It is responsible for the provision of a general payment system for the organization and for a range of ancillary financial services.

This includes the operation of staff payroll, book keeping, account receivables, and payables for the organization. The unit also provides the financial data used for financial reporting.

Our key functions include:

  • Payroll: Handling pay-wages/salaries, pay slips, leave obligations, PAYE withholding for staff etc.
  • Receivables: Responsible for invoicing, banking, raising advances for staff, keeping records of aged debtor’s ledger and unretired advances.
  • Payables: Responsible for all the organization’s payment.  Functions include processing suppliers’ invoices, printing of cheques, bookkeeping, maintaining an aged debtors’ ledger.
  • Funds Management: Engaged in funds management, monitoring, and provision of   useful information to management on the Institute’s cash position to aid strategic decision making.
