As the Strategic Information Lead of the Global Fund Nigeria TB/HIV Reach, Integration and Impact (GF NTHRIP) Project, Mr. Benjamin Pillatar is responsible for setting goals, and objectives as well as developing organizational policies and protocols on data management for the project implemented across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. He also leads efforts to continuously improve the Monitoring & Evaluation system, incorporate feedback and adapt methodologies to changing program needs.
Mr. Pillatar promotes health systems strengthening activities at all levels and builds the capacity of all regional staff, through training, hands-on & supportive supervision. He leverages data-driven insights to enhance project efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
With his expertise in M& E, he supports the strategic development and execution of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks, ensuring that national and donor-funded programs achieve maximum health impact through reliable, high-quality data.
With over a decade of leadership experience, his journey includes roles as Strategic Information Lead in both Nasarawa and the FCT, where he supervised multidisciplinary teams of M&E officers, health informatics professionals, and data analysts to implement results-based program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) within Nigeria’s HIV, tuberculosis and broader public health sectors.
Earlier in his career, Benjamin worked at AIICO Pension North Regional office Abuja, as team lead where he developed strong foundations in data analytics, client service, and organizational leadership skills that seamlessly transitioned into his public health work.
Benjamin holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Bingham University, Nasarawa State, Nigeria, a B.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Maiduguri, and a Diploma in Theology from COCIN Theological Education by Extension in Plateau State. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in information management at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria
