Maternal, Neonatal & Child Health

Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (MNCH/PMTCT) Unit

Our focus is on reducing the burden of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. The unit also works to address HIV in children and enhance safe motherhood.

We have provided MNCH/PMTCT services to health facilities and their adjoining communities in over 20 states of the federation. Currently, we provide services at Nasarawa, Katsina, Rivers states and the Federal Capital Territory. Our targets are women of child bearing age, pregnant & breast-feeding women, and their families.

Services

In health facilities we support, we are ensuring that clients are cared for in the health facility and in the community. Our support services include,

  • HIV Testing & Counseling (HTC),
